My work is a way of telling personal stories about joys, struggles, challenges and pains. As a visual communicator and creator it is all to do with the higher self and spiritual growth. A kind of soul searching goes into each image.

My "creating" is a very organic and feeling kind of process.

By taking time over draft versions, by trial and error, and working with my intuition, my subconscious feelings emerge, resulting in images on paper.

It is like a personal discovery of stories buried within the images.

I like using symbolism. It gives the viewer a chance to add their own subjective interpretation, so they take personal ownership.

Although I have been involved in conventional photography over the last 27 years I have found that by combining the photographic image with other art media I can create a far greater emotive response. This personal change came about after 3 years of drawing / art studies.

Techniques such as applying dyes, including text, etching and other mixed media gives extra depth. That is so I can communicate in very powerful, as well as subtle ways.

I really enjoy creating textures, playing with shapes, light and colors.

The greatest joy of my work is to bring about positive responses and outcomes. Create messages for the higher good of the soul. Inspiring people in many ways.

The self-portrait example shown here, '"To expose oneself", is all about life's dilemmas. It is about wanting to show the real me, my real personality, baring my soul to the world. The glow of electric blue energy in the background gives a positive feel. There is hope.

My message is "It is OK to be you". Accept that you have a dark and light side.

Do not be afraid.

Learn to love and accept you, as you really are.
